Description

Explore La Casa de Los Balcones, an architectural jewel in excellent condition from the 17th century and get to know first-hand how its founding family lived. Belonging today to the Machado family, the mansion is a true representation of the old way of living.

A house and a museum of customs and traditions

The first floor of the house displays a collection of old items, amongst which you can find the most traditional and essential tools of the era. What was life like in the 17th century? What was day to day living like? Visit a replica of a 100% authentic boudoir and lounge which has not undergone any changes and absorb the history of Tenerife as never before.

A treasure for lovers of tradition

The typical Canarian interior courtyard of the house is surrounded by an impressive wooden balcony made with Canarian pine. This is another of the many traditional features you will be able to find in this mansion, where there is also a traditional Canarian embroidery workshop (unique in the world) and an old spiral staircase. If you want to take back a handcrafted souvenir, how about trying on the traditional Canarian dress and have your picture taken?
