Closure of the TF-21 motorway via La Orotava

We inform all visitors that the access road to Mt Teide via La Orotava (the TF-21 motorway) will be closed between kilometre markers 32 and 43, that is to say, between El Portillo and Teide Cable Car, from 13th March up until 28th March 2018, from Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 11.30am and from 2.00pm to 4.30pm, as roadworks will take place to improve the road surface.

We recommend that those staying in Puerto de la Cruz take the Chío route from Los Gigantes to get to the facilities of the Cable Car. Likewise, we recommend those staying in the south of the island to take the La Esperanza route from La Laguna to reach the premises of the Teide Observatory.

This map shows the access roads to Mt Teide alongside our recommended alternative access routes.
